in love with love, again
so, today it was 27 dresses.
and i’ve said this before, i’m sure - i’m an absolute sucker for romantic comedies. well, not god-awful/mediocre ones with no hot hero man type and heartstring-pulling lines, of course. the lines from the guy practically make or break the movie in my opinion. just as how lyrics are to my songs. but generally yeah, the tasteful ones. cliche, they will be, DUH. but with the right guy (read: james marsden), the right well, lines. and the initial love-hate thing going on. ahhhh, bliss.
and to make it worse, who can resist wanting to get married like straight away after watching a movie like that. i wonder if it’s just me that as it gets more interesting, with an added bonus of the guy actually being hotter than adam brody and just as quirky (READ: james marsden), you start to imagine that’s what your life will be like, and that’s how you’ll fall in love. and for those of you supposedly already in love, you suddenly feel like it’s practically telling your story, and the guy is just as sweet and perfect and heartmelting as yours. guess they don’t call them fantasies for nothing. and it definitely doesn’t hurt that the movie throws in your face the 3 things every girl would want. being, 1)the perfect wedding 2)the perfect guy 3)the perfect guy saying THE most perfect things
in a weird way, it makes me love my relationship more. i don’t know why (i should be pining for james marsden, i know!) but it just does.
seeing that i’ve been all over the place in awe and lovestruck by 27dresses, i guess the end conclusion would be that if you’re a sucker for these kind of movies just like me, it’s as predictable as it can get but it’s definitely one of the good ones. if you’re not, then you shouldn’t watch it cause you’ll only have cynical things to say about the neverending cliches of a romantic comedy (not unlike james marsden in the movie) and i would hate that.
i’m totally open to watching this and sydney white again. jom jom jom?
oh, and i also watched juno yesterday. so that makes it three in two days. enjoying the good life, people. the goood life. and with, none other than the ever-faithful better than james marsden and adam brody combined boyfriend of mine, since he has finish his exams too. so, DOUBLE BLISS.
AND of course, the good life includes time to tryout new weird things like yoga with anat, led by unsuspecting pakcik-looking yogi (bear, more like) nonetheless.
did i say that it was the good life?
gosh, you guys must be thinking what an airhead i must be right about now.. sappy dramas, now movies. well, screw you reader(s).

I am so with you on this one babe.
Life is GOOD.
Life IS GOOD.
LIFE IS GOOD.
Love makes your world go round, beautiful things seem beyond description, and ugly things are beautiful…
You’re happy everyday, even when you have to face the unwanted stuff, HE makes your day.
;D
I’m head over heels right now, and people say that I am SO happy, and my happiness is infectious.
;p
And the sweet lines are sweeter.
Oh gosh…
fall in love with him again, go watch BTS on E!. James Marsden is very very *sigh* in there.
the problem i seem to have with rom-coms is that:
1. leave the female kind with too much expectations and hope.
2. u get a reality check at the end of it that goes something like: damn. wish i could do the same or damn. wish things would just fall into place like that.
but then again, its me and my thoughts.
if afifah is reading this; just let me say that JUNO is NOT GOOD. ITS REFRESHING YES! BUT NOT ABSOLUTE BRILLIANCE!
for once probably in my entire lifetime, i agree with hadi on both counts. well, all three counts cause juno was just so-so. different, yes, but so-so.
i guess, realists like myself wouldn’t mind a dose of dreaming and fantasy now and again. and hey, not every girl dreams of a james marsden courting you with cheesy lines. AND most importantly, sometimes those expectations and hopes DO come true, which of course is the best part. for me, at least. that’s why you should bring (read: drag) your boyfriends with you to watch rom-coms! and guys, there’s a reason she drags you with her. bukan nak suruh ogle james marsden. you’re supposed to act on that reality check hadi.. you can do the same!
on a final note though, romantic comedies, no matter how heart melting and tear jerking they may be, pales in comparison to real life romance and i would attest to this wholeheartedly!
(i anticipate barfing and eye rolling at this point)
that didn’t do anything to me. still jiwang. I LOVE ROMANCE!!! (korg potong lah!)
Love and romance, these two things come to those who wait, and when you at last have it, it’s HEAVENLY.
di sinilah sessi mengumpat afifah berlangsung!!! akan ku visit selalu. yes klok, call it being self-absorbed. hey, i like it but like i said arlier, it’s not the best movie ever.
james marsden dah aku suka since ku first terlihat mata nya!!
Oh, so this is Khalidah’s blog.
Anyways;
Hadi, Juno is awesome. You don’t know what you are saying.
The soundtrack is cheesy, yes. But come on! It’s got two guys from Arrested Development! It’s got the girl from Hard Candy! The supporting cast are excellent!
Well written script. It’s not realistic of course but that’s the point. We are inside Juno McGuff’s mind!
Yes I am a fan of Juno. Sue my half bidayuh ass.
hopeless romantic yeh kamu? it’s not just you..guess that’s what romance movies do to people lol
Just cause it got those two buggers doesnt mean it’s an OSCAR material. :p im not gona sue ur half bidayuh ass coz my quarter chinese mind feels it would not be morally appropriate.
